Down to the Moon by Andreas Vollenweider is one of my all time favorite Albums. The music itself is definitely 5 star but the 4 star rating above is for the 2005 24 bit High Def Version. In comparison, I would give the sound quality on the original 1986 version 3 stars. In the 24 bit version the clarity, detail, tonal quality, depth of sound and decay of the strings in my opinion is substantially improved on many cuts most notably on cut 8, Drown in Pale Light and cut 10 Hush-patience at Bamboo Forest. However some of the higher octave cuts like cut 2- Moon Dance and cut 7- Silver Wheel seem overly bright and are too shrill for my tastes. Andreas Vollenweider b.
