Frozen Charlotte - DollsHead. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. Los Angeles, California, United States. Dollshead was an alternative rockelectronica band. Its members were the California-born vocalist Sierra Swan and the bassist Graham Edwards from Scotland, who in 1997 began collaborating after an impromptu jam session at a Los Angeles studio. The band released their first and only album Frozen Charlotte in 1998. Critics have likened Dollshead's sound to that of the bands Garbage and Curve. At present the two members of the duo work separately on other musical projects: Sierra released a solo album in 2006 and Graham is a member of the music production team The Matrix. Frozen Charlotte. Combining a guitar-powered alt-rock sound with electronic rhythms and textures, DollsHead is clearly reminiscent of groups like Garbage while Frozen Charlotte certainly isn't original, it is well executed - It's Over, It's Under from the soundtrack to the awful Bruce Willis thriller The Jackal offers pulsating techno beats, while Touch the Moon is a torchy trip-hop. I stumbled on this album roughly when it came out, back in my gobbling up anything that looked like a female fronted band days that harvested other delectables like Garbage, Transister, Talking To Animals, Luscious Jackson, Luxx, Shooter, Mono, and others I'm not remembering. I've always adored it, beginning to end. Something triggered my remembering it today and, as usual, it was a tough search target - I can never remember dollshead, and keep wanting to search on chocolate charlotte. Of course, then I remembered I have it on CD
