two sets by the Lana Trio and JD Zazie, from Berlin. Lana trombonist Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø has collaborated with Zazie previously. For the rest of the trio - Andreas Wildhagen drums and Kjetil Jerve piano this is their first time with Zazie. Per the program, this was a world premier. The Norwegian groupLana Trio attempts to find a delicate balance between intense, free jazz to exploration of more open-ended and non-idiomatic free improvisations. The three musicians began to play together after meeting at Sund Folk college in 2007. Trombonist Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø is the most experienced player of the three. He collaborates regularly with Swedish master improvisers as double bassist Nina de Heney and drummer Raymond Strid, member of the Skadedyr group and the trio As Deafness Increases. Trio is the first studio album from the German band of the same name. It was released on October 27, 1981 by Mercury Records. It included a bonus single and has a handle attached to the cover. The commercial success of the album only started in 1982 with the release of the third version, which included the song Da Da Da, this being previously available on a separate single before.
