Such comparisons probably draw fears of an outdated sound, though these fears prove unnecessary. Maceo Plex - Arise. Silo, 07:18. It is perhaps the logical successor to much of the most soulful house in the 1980s, the soul still very much alive today. Maceo Plex - Silo. Maceo Plex - The Feelin' Original Mix 7:17. Life Index sounds fresh and vibrant, with songs like Vibe Your Love justifying the ongoing relevance of house music with a slow and deep groove. Mutant Magic. Maceo Plex - Vibe Your Love. Maceo Plex-Life Index

Maceo Plex otherwise known as Spanish producer Eric Estornel has had what some may call a good year, releasing his album Life Index at the start of the year on Damien Lazarus’ label Crosstown Rebels (home of some the finest House music artists right now), appearances in some of Europe’s hottest clubs throughout 2011 and the creation of his own imprint Ellum Audio. With that said, Life Index is a showcase of quality tech and deep house, tracks such as “Vibe Your Love” and “Arise” provide the ability to have you singing along and nodding your head whether you’re in the club witnessing Eric’s floorless mixing or at home lighting one up, a personal favourite is “The Feeling” which oozes sex appeal and provides some nice little touches. The album has an impressive amount of standout numbers and from start to finish does not disappoint, highly recommended.

This album needs a vinyl release, Sleazy E needs to be on vinyl....

Same “instant“ thought, considering the release is six years old and nobody has commented on it ever since :)Lots of great tracks on it, my favourite is arise though.. has that sort of tribalish ambient, Persuaders' Templar vibe to it

I must admit that i havent been catch by a house album on a long while... but this release have made it, a very solid house album that gets all that chicago house vibe without loosing the fresh taste. Im sure in the end of the year this will be listed up high on charts... Personally, think that "Your style" gets to the point where house is at the moment.
