ZZ Top - Fandango 1975. is the fourth album by the American blues rock band ZZ Top, released in 1975. The album's first side consists of selections from live shows, with the second side being new studio recordings. Fandango, from which the album gets its name, is a type of dance similar to flamenco. Frontman Billy Gibbons said of the album. Listen free to ZZ Top Fandango Thunderbird, Jailhouse Rock and more. 15 tracks 42:18. Hard Rock 1975. Jailhouse Rock sounds less like a 50s Elvis Presley single than a militant call to revolution. Songs in album ZZ Top - Fandango 1975. ZZ Top - Thunderbird. ZZ Top - Jailhouse Rock. ZZ Top finally delivered their fourth album, Fandango, into record stores on April 18, 1975 to truly unprecedented excitement. It had been nearly two years since they'd last dropped some brand-new music upon their growing legion of fans. But the best was saved for last: Tush, which became ZZ Tops first Top 20 single, pulled Fandango right along with it into the U. Top 10, and has since yielded more cover versions than one can count. Way back in 1975, though, what all of these new heights of success meant for Gibbons, Hill and Beard was an even more aggressive touring workload. Blessed with their first full-fledged hit album, ZZ Top followed it up with Fandango, a record split between a side of live tracks and a side of new studio cuts. In a way, this might have made sense, since they were a kick-ass live band, and they do sound good here, but it's hard not to see this as a bit of a wasted opportunity in retrospect. Why .
